		<description>What I see here
are two possibilities...
&quot;Zoids&quot;
Tomy
circa - &#039;82http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoids
(Japanese ゾイド (zoido)), short for Zoic Androids,
 is a franchise based around a series of plastic
 toy models designed and produced by Japanese
toy company Tomy (now Takara-Tomy).
 First released in 1982, the models resemble a range
of creatures including mammals, dinosaurs, and
 insects. The majority are in 1:72 scale with a wind-up
 or battery-powered motor to power moveable features,
 and feature snap-together construction and precolored
 parts.
There have been a number of different Zoids model lines
 over the years, both in Japan and other countries.
 Between these lines, over 200 different designs have
been released, some several times over.http://www.toywiz.com/zoids1.htmlhttp://www.toyarchive.com/Zoids/Zoids.ht…
The &quot;Zoids&quot; had been brought about as
 a manga and anime series -
 later introduced as a short run comic book...http://www.clho.net/anime/anime.php?anim…
***
The second is quite possibly
 the ones you are looking for ...
&quot;Micronauts&quot;
Mego
circa- &#039;76http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micronauts
They were introduced
 in a comic series
which lasted
through the 80&#039;shttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micronauts_…
What made these figures and toys
 unique was that they were
 interchangeable and could be combined
to make new toys..http://www.megocentral.com/MICRONAUTS.ht…http://www.microforever.com/microheritag…http://www.micro-outpost.com/
This site has an excellent pictorial
on EVERY micronaut EVER MADEhttp://www.innerspaceonline.com/newhome.…
The Micronauts were originally licensed
under Tomy/Takara as the beginnings
of the  &quot;Microman&quot; line --
 this was the forerunner to the &quot;Transformers&quot;
**
Bumble like
 micronauts
but too small
for Bumble fingers
Bumble smiles**
